This was the winning sculpture in a local competition. There was a deadline and I was working on this sculpture in New York. My mother Akthar helped me sand down the plaster casting in preparation for the bronze casting and to meet the bronze deadline date.

The sculpture was unveiled behind the West Palm Beach Library, facing Flagler Drive, on February 14, 1981.

The televised unveiling took place on June 20, 1999 at the Crystal Cathedral, Anaheim, CA.

Mrs. Isabelle Paul of Boca Raton, Florida commissioned this sculpture. It was featured at the entrance to Reverend Robert Schuller's Crystal Cathedral Reception Center.

The sculpture "Escape" was entered into a competition to memorialize the victims of the 1928 hurricane in Florida. However, the sclupture could represent victims from any disaster. Although I consider this sculpture to be my masterpiece, it did not win the competition.
